"Every morning we breakfasted on fresh fruit, homemade jam, tea, and toast to the sound of birds chirping"Buenos Aires City was incredible but when we found ourselves seeking escape from the heat and pollution we happened upon this B&B on the net. At first we thought it was too far out of the way but on second review we decided this is just what we needed. Theresa made it so easy by sending Buddha (her neighbour) to come collect us and take us to her place for around $15 us. Buddha greatly deserves his name. He smiled from the chest outward and made us feel confident in our choice long before we arrived. Theresa was there to greet us at the gate and show us through to our gorgeous little guest house surrounded by gardens, birds, a pool, bbq pit and herb garden. We couldn't have been happier. She made all our dinner reservations, (when we weren't bbqing) insuring someone could speak a little english to help us out. Our first dinner was at Salustiana. We still dream of it to this day. We should mention we were practically the only touristas in that small suburb and got to be known by many locals as Los Canadienses. Theresa also found us Tango lesson a short distance away which we thought we had left behind in BA. |
